Less than 3 months to go – and the wild Atlantic will beckon ‘Oardery’ and her brave 4-man crew to row straight across it, from the Canary Islands to Antigua in this year’s ‘Toughest Row across the Atlantic‘ Challenge. Even now, after 2 years of serious preparation and disciplined body conditioning, the determined foursome are not allowing themselves a break in their strict training regime as it will take all their physical and mental strength to propel themselves day and night, for over 30 days!!! and without any other power but their own muscles from one continent to the other. We know, their daily exercise routine is gruesome – but so is the Atlantic. But boy, are they ready! We managed to meet the whole crew; Jason, John, Niall and Sam and their shiny, freshly wrapped boat on a sunny weekend at the beginning of September at their ‚All Aboard’ Festival in Lacock where family and friends, sponsors and visitors to Lacock alike had the chance to find out more about their quest. They were certainly looking fit and ready for this challenge, and ‚Oardery‘ was proudly displayed in her ‘new outfit’ -bearing the names and logos of all sponsors.

Crazy to think that our Altex logo will be rowed all across the Atlantic, West we go!
