METAL FABRICATION

Altex employs the latest precision laser and punch technology. This produces high quality blanks which move through forming, inserting and welding, and finally powder coating, enabling us to produce a high quality product.

Mindful of our environmental commitments, Altex has continued to invest in equipment and processes which improve efficiency, reduce running costs and lower energy consumption.

Our Nitrogen Plant is an example of this. It has removed the need for regular deliveries of gas and proved to be more cost efficient. Our latest Laser cutter, the L5Xe allows for even more significant reduction in operating costs and a more competitive way of cutting by just using compressed air. Cutting with compressed air is considerably cheaper and more environmentally friendly than using nitrogen. There is no need for dedicated compressors either any more as the compact, turnkey APM connects directly to the shop’s pneumatic supply, thus reducing energy consumption.
